About the Project

We are launching a suite of AI-powered voice and automation tools for service businesses (plumbing, HVAC, electrical). Our platform will match — and improve upon — what Broccoli.com offers. You’ll help deliver:

  • A 24/7 voice AI that answers calls and books jobs

  • Seamless API-based scheduling (e.g., ServiceTitan)

  • Call transcription + summarization

  • Lead qualification + intelligent routing

  • Plug-and-play setup for fast deployment

  • Proactive outbound voice engagement

You’ll work alongside a small, fast-moving team of AI engineers focused on production-quality features, not demos.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deploy AI voice agents using ASR/NLU/NLG tools (e.g., Whisper, Rasa, OpenDialog, Deepgram)

  • Implement backend logic for job booking, lead triage, and outbound calling

  • Integrate with external platforms (e.g., ServiceTitan, CRMs) via API

  • Build call summarization and analysis tools (LLM-based or open-source)

  • Ensure fast, reliable deployment with minimal setup required (plug-and-play architecture)

  • Collaborate closely with product leads and engineers on planning and delivery

Requirements

For All Roles:

  • Experience in conversational AI, voice automation, or NLP

  • Familiarity with at least one ASR + NLU stack (e.g., OpenAI, Deepgram, AssemblyAI, Whisper, Rasa)

  • Ability to design and maintain scalable APIs

  • Comfort with integration workflows

  • Experience with prompt engineering and summarization (for Call AI)

Senior Only:

  • 5+ years in applied ML/AI or NLP/NLU

  • Able to lead architecture decisions and mentor mid-level developers

  • Strong product and business thinking: you think in terms of outcomes, not just models

Mid-Level Only:

  • 2–3 years experience in software development and AI/NLP projects

  • Independent contributor with strong engineering fundamentals

  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and optimize code with guidance from seniors

Bonus Points

  • Experience working in service industry SaaS

  • Prior work building voice agents or IVR bots

  • Familiarity with vector databases or RAG-based systems
